Rein Oster is holding the key from a recently legalized historical building in Narva to open an art centre there

Art group, youth initiative, mentorship
2025 – ongoing

Rein Oster, now 19, a participant of Pryven’s two projects, Narva as a Trash Book, and The Passport Project that took place in 2024, was inspired by these experiences to initiate his own art group, NOOR PROJEKT (Estonian: “Young Project”). He registered as a non-profit association (MTÜ) in 2025 ⧉.

As its leader, Rein has recently legalized an abandoned historical building, Joala mõisa kuivati, in Narva and wants to turn it into an art space.

In October 2025, during Masha Pryven’s short visit to Narva to support and see the progress of the project, she and Rein’s collaborator, Ernest Zakirov (18), met with Madis Tuuder, Inspector for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, to discuss the rules and regulations for renovating a historical building.

This initiative needs funding and support.
