A personal engagement with Marcel Proust’s In the Search for Lost Time, a novel that shaped, consciously or subconsciously, “our” cultural imagination and notions of desire, longing and memory. This photographic work is an attempt to translate this literary text into images. What came to be a book is a a series of photos that can be read as flashbacks into one’s childhood and adolescence, aesthetically framed as a belle époque text trying to outlive its own time.
